I’m loving the new shows. But I wonder why they changed the name mid-stream from The Real Deal to Real Estate Pros. Did they get sued from some other show by the same name? (I know Donald Trump has a radio short called “The Real Deal.” Doesn’t seem like that should be a conflict, but since it’s The Donald, you never know.)
This may be the problem (from the US Patent and Trademark Office):

Looks like the date of first use pre-dates the new Trademark show.
Just a guess, however.
Well, my link died. But basically its a trademark registration for “The Real Deal” for real estate TV programs. It didn’t look like Trademark was the owner.
Love the new show!!! My husband and I are big fans. Keep up the good work. God bless.
OK Richard, give me my car back man! I’ll pay you next week, and I’ll even throw in a 6-pack of Natural Light!!
Man, I’ll tell you what. I must have missed this episode when it first came out, but I was pissed to see how Gus took advantage of Richard. After all he did for the guy! Didn’t pay 1 cent of rent for over a year, and on top of all that trashed the place??? Kudos for Ginger to stand up for what was right. Just goes to show you how “real” a person like Richard is. Can you imagine if Armando had a tenant that didn’t pay rent????
I just wonder why Ginger let things go on so long before she took action. It was clear that the tenant had no intention of paying anything. Did a full year of nonpayment of rent go unnoticed by Trademark because it was such a tiny property?
Gus…that is hilarious.
Ginger did a great job. It takes guts to take a stand even when it is against your boss. You can read my thoughts on all of the episodes here. http://simplyreprehensible.com/?p=508
Plus, there are lots of polls to take.
